Einstein Transformation

Picture series for fade over projection
This series is one of the earliest examples
for the use of picture processing
in digital art.

The consecutive transition from an
identifyable portrait to an abstract picture,
which no longer reveals the original meaning,
points to the contribution of Einstein
to the new view of our world,
which has lost its clarity.

The presentation was realized with
optical fade over projection,
accompanied by sound effects.

Sound component by
Jörg Stelkens.

This video shows a
picture series for fade over projection, produced as an
introduction to an event about digital graphic art and music.
Originally, the presentation was realized with optical fade over projection, accompanied by sound effects.
The series was produced by means of the picture processing system "Bildspeicher N" for medical diagnosis
(evaluation of scintigrams), Siemens company, Erlangen (Germany).

Nowadays the fade over projection can be realized with presentation software.
Together with the acoustic background it was saved as an animation,
and transformed to a digital video.
As the original sound background is no longer available,
Jörg Stelkens (www.stelkens.de) designed a new sound component with the
software synthesizer crusherX-Live! (www.crusher-x.de).
