PERSONAL
"In my scientific work I got the opportunity to explore the
fascinating world of the microcosm of nature.
For many years I had been amazed by the aesthetics and variety of biological structures.
Finally, I began to express my enthusiasm for this usually invisible world in colour and interpretation,
to share the beauties of these shapes of nature with as many people as possible.
In order to illustrate these structures of nature three different techniques of electron microscopy were used: raster electron microscopy (REM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and cutting and freeze etching techniques. For the artistic presentation and interpretation of these tiny structures from microcosm I developed a new artwork method, which was greatly honoured in circles of experts. The electron microscopic pictures were printed on canvas, and then I rendered and interpreted them with coloured Indian ink." |
